Gundpak

Description
Gundpak unlike its counterpart sweet barfi thou made out of Khuwa is made in a slight different way. Khuwa is fried in ghee and sugar syrup and darkened. It has to be cooked until it is fully brownish and cooked properly as Gundpak is made to last for months. It also contains gund, Magaj, Chokda (black date), cocunut pieces and Sukmel. 
It is a popular sweet for its nutritional and lasting values and is highly bought by people from remote areas and travelers.
Its like souvenir sweet for many people to take home from Kathmandu either to their home town or abroad.
Similar product is Masala Gundpak which has additional ingredients like herbal medicine added to it.
